Whether you're looking to change your password, enhance the security of your account, or explore alternative login options, all questions about managing your account are answered in this article.
View Username
Your CloudResearch username identifies your activity within the CloudResearch system, including within Connect.
You can view your username by selecting your username in the top right corner and then “Settings.” From the dropdown select "Account".
On the next page, select “Profile” from the list of options on the left. You will see your username and email.
Update Username
1) Click your username on your account dashboard.
2) Select the pen and paper icon next to your current username.
3) Input the username you would like to use.
4) Hit "Save and this will now be your Connect account username and the username participants see when they see one of your studies on their dashboard.
Change Password
Changing your password is simple.
Go to the profile icon in the header of the main page and select "Settings" then, “Account.”
On the next page, click "Password” from the list of options on the left. Enter your current password and then what you want your new password to be. Click “Update password.”
Change Email
To change your account email, please email us at connect-support@cloudresearch.com with your current account email and the new email you would like to use. Once we process this request, you can sign in using the new email and the same account password. All previous studies and account activity will be visible.
Two-Factor Authentication
To enable two-factor authentication, download a two-factor authenticator app like Microsoft Authenticator (for Windows Phone, Android or iOS) or Google Authenticator (for Android and iOS). Then go to Account Details from the profile drop-down menu. Click on Manage Logins and select Two-factor Authentication from the list on the left.
Click on “Add Authenticator App.” Scan the QR code provided on the next page or input the key manually. The app will provide you with a verification code. Enter the code into the confirmation box on the page to finish setting up two-factor authentication.
If you ever want to change the authenticator app you are using, you can do so from the Two-factor Authentication webpage. Click on “Configure authenticator app.” If you input the wrong confirmation code, click on Reset authenticator key on the Two-factor Authentication webpage.
Manage Notifications
You can manage when and how often you receive notifications about your projects and communication with participants. Within the "Settings" section, you can choose "Manage Notifications." Within the new window, you can choose whether to receive emails or SMS notifications for updates to your projects and messages arriving to your inbox.
External Login Options
If you would like to use your Google, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, or Microsoft account credentials to login to CloudResearch, you can do so. To set this up go to Account → Account Details → Manage Logins → External Logins.
Once you reach the External Logins page you can choose which external account you want to link to CloudResearch. If you choose Google, Microsoft or Amazon, you will be asked to log into that account to confirm your login credentials. If you choose Facebook or Twitter you will be asked to authorize CloudResearch in order to use that login information.
Delete Account
To delete your account, please contact us at connect-support@cloudresearch.com with the username of the account you would like deleted. All information related to the account will be deleted, including all study information. Once the account is deleted, you will not be able to access any information previously associated with it.
