This article explains how refunds are handled for unused or leftover funds in your CloudResearch Connect account.
General Refund Policy
- Refunds must be returned to the same funding method originally used whenever possible.
- Refunds of $1,000 or more for credit card purchases incur a 3% credit card processing fee, as required by credit card networks. This is outlined in our Terms of Service.
- Refund eligibility and method depend on how the account was funded and how much time has passed since the transaction.
Credit Card Refunds
Eligibility:
- Credit card refunds can only be processed for transactions made within the last 18 months.
Required information:
Please email us the following:
- Connect account email
- Refund amount
- Last 4 digits of the credit card used
Important notes:
- Refunds of $1,000 or more will incur a 3% credit card fee.
- If the transaction is older than 18 months, we are unable to refund.
ACH / Bank Account Refunds For Direct Funding
Eligibility:
- ACH refunds can be processed within 180 days of the original transaction.
Required information:
Please email us:
- Connect account email
- Refund amount
- Last 4 digits of the bank account used
If the transaction is over 180 days old:
- The refund will be issued via check instead.
Refunds for Mailed Check Payments
If your Connect account was funded via a mailed check, refunds will be issued by check.
Required information:
Please email us:
- Connect account email
- Refund amount
- Name the check should be made out to
- Mailing address
University or Organizational ACH / Bank Transfers
If funds were paid via ACH or bank transfer through a university or organization, we require additional details to return the funds.

- Bank account details
- Mailing address

To request a refund, email our support team at connect-support@cloudresearch.com with the required information listed above based on your payment method. Providing complete details helps us process your request as quickly as possible.
