After running studies on Connect, you may find that there are some participants you received that you do not want to take future studies you plan on launching. In this case, you can add these participants to a Universal Block List on your account. All Universal Block Lists will be automatically applied to any future studies you create and prevent these participants from being able to see and take your study.
How to add participants to a Universal Block List
There are 2 ways to add participants to your Universal Block List:
Directly via Participant Groups
- Navigate to the Participant Groups area and select "Create Group".
- Upload the participants you would like to add to the list.
- The block list is now available in the Participant Groups area.
- Select to toggle on the Universal Block List button.
By adding this group to your Universal Block List, the participants included in this group will be disqualified from any project you are currently running. Additionally, these participants, by default, will be excluded from any new projects you create.
If you no longer want to have these participants as a Universal Block List, you can always toggle the Universal Block List button to the off position.
When Rejecting a Participant
- Check off the box to add the rejected participant to your universal block list. You can choose to add them into the participant groups you selected to be included in your Universal Block List. If you haven't added a group, you can simply add it to the default group within your Universal Block List.
